Contact / Working together

Start with the decision you need to make.

Send Dr. Shen a brief, non-confidential outline. The first step is to establish fit and define a useful scope.

info@playsresearch.com

What to include in the first message

  • The technology and context. The product or system involved and its current stage.
  • The decision and deadline. An investment, acquisition, external review, supplier or pilot decision, or technical dispute, and when findings are needed.
  • Available evidence. Whether test results, design records, code or team discussions are available. Confidential files are not needed for the first contact.
  • The relevant parties. For a transaction or dispute, include party names you can disclose so potential conflicts can be considered.

What happens next

01 / Share the outline

Start with the technology, decision and deadline. The initial discussion establishes fit and the engineering question that matters most.

02 / Define the scope

Dr. Shen discusses the available evidence, access to materials and what a focused review or broader engagement should answer.

03 / Agree in writing

Before substantive review, agree the scope, deliverables, timing, fees and confidentiality arrangements. Where third-party reliance matters, specify the intended readers and applicable terms.

Work products matched to the decision

Transaction technical due diligence

A technical risk memo with material findings, supporting records, unresolved questions, cost and timing implications, and next work.

Vendor technical due diligence & readiness

A claim-to-evidence index, gap action plan or scoped seller-commissioned diligence memo to organize preparation for external review.

Technical evidence for disputes

Technical analysis, evidence chronologies or source-code findings for counsel, clarifying competing explanations and further evidence needed.

Fees, timing and continuing support

The proposed fee and schedule reflect the question, volume and availability of records, depth of code or test review, any site work and the decision deadline. A short outline helps establish which work belongs in the engagement and supports a written scope and quote.

An engagement can start with a focused review. Continuing advisory support can address new evidence, technical questions or milestones as the decision develops, with priorities and availability agreed in advance.
